Hey, is there a save system? I keep opening the menu in the beginning of the game and it doesn't seem to have one. And i don't wanna start getting into a game and have it where when I need a break I can't save and such. Am I missing something or is the save broken?

Thanks for playing! You save in this game by talking to the Porygons, the first which opens up after you clear the lab. Basically, I disabled save anywhere because I'm planning some horror sections later and having a save anytime feature sort of undermines the atmosphere. That said, in the demo the porygons are provided at all central hubs (and there are not really long dungeons) so you shouldn't have an issue saving.

Thank you, with this knowledge now i can try another crack at the game.

beautiful game. congratulation

I have completed the demo and it really was dope (annoying too for the passages). But really loved it. I wanted to enquire that the misty animation and cut scene in fire exit passage is glitchy or you made it that way?

Rest all was well( I hated breaking Viridian Joy's heart :(  )

So focus will remain Misty or the other pokegirls will be allowed too?

After I beat Tracey I rushed here for any news.

My apologies for the delay, Itch flagged you as spam for some reason. But, thanks so much for kind words and for interest in the completed version! The dating mechanic will permit other pokegirls too and there will be different endings based on what the player chooses ultimately. The glitchiness in the fire exit passage is intentional, although I think it's choppier than intended (which I've fixed or ameliorated more in my post-demo edits, iirc)

No prob

Whenever i try to play i cant get past the first 5 mins it keeps repeating the same text box over and over

(1 edit) (+1)(-1)

That's a weird issue. What text box is it, what does it say? Are you on Android or PC? And, have you attempted redownloading?

this is unironically perfect for a college project im doing. one of the sections for a mood board i need to make is, and im not making this up. "orange dating sim" and this is the first result from google (via reddit post). so i thank you for making this. i am now able to finish a mood board section.

That is a hilarious happenstance and thank you for letting me know, haha. I hope your professor and other classmates enjoy, if they so see this.

Hello Kwatar, Speaking as a Misty fan, great game so far. I just wanted to ask that if you're working on this by yourself, I could help you out in the development (considering I am pretty good at coding and okay in Pixel art). lmk but thanks anyway

Hello Arilens, thanks for comment! I am actually working on this myself, although I am realizing extra help might help make the game better. Anyhow, since you and others have asked, I've gone ahead and thrown together a survey for anyone who might be interested:

Thanks for the fast response, I completed the survey (don't mind the username). Just saying, I have made rom hacks in the past, but I only released one, which is present in the form. Also, I live down under, but I travel to the US quite a bit for my job.

Thanks, Arilens :)

Awesome, and that sounds like great experience! The response has shown up. I'll try reaching out to you sometime this week when I have a bit of free time and get some stuff in order (the project is arranged in a mess right now but its a mess I understand but I should arrange it for others). Thanks once more for taking the initative on this!

Shot a discord friend request over btw and also tried to send a nice message with it but discord ate it :(

Hey Kwatar, long time no see! I wanted to know if you have any plans of implementing a way to carry over a save file from the demo to the full game once it's out? I wanted to replay the game, but i wanted to know if i should just wait for the full release. Thanks and good luck on the game!!

Digaum! Welcome back to the game page! Presently, the plan is to have an option to start after the dem for old players where they can set some preferences (e.g. dating favorites), since the game does not save after Tracey (e.g., you start post-Tracey, maybe with level 30 pokes). Although, that might change depending on how much data I can scrap from the demo. Unfortunately, I am a moron and did not systemize the date mechanics prior. But, I think with my somewhat advanced coding skill I could just cobble together a Tracey skip?

Anyhow, you won't have to re-fight Tracey with whatever you do (I know that's everyone's favorite battle) and there will be the option to set your moves and at least preserve dating answers. But, you might not be able to keep your Clefairys' levels.

Hey again, thanks for replying so quickly! I see and i appreciate you doing this in the first place, but I'm afraid i'll miss out on new easter eggs, side quests or something of the sort by starting from where i left off, so if you're sure, do you think you're generally done adding new content to the demo, and if you do add something new, that it would be something like quality of life features, visual enhancements, fixing grammar errors, etc?

This is amazing. As a Pokémon and Misty fan, I absolutely love this game and I am totally invested.

It is hilarious and full of  clever references. Also, I love how it makes fun of the poor choices the anime's director and producers have made lol.

rly can't wait to see it finished!!!!!! Looks very very promising

Sorry for a bit of a delayed reply, but thank you so much! I am working hard to keep upping the ante (and am putting in an old anime character right now to date) so hopefully the final product does not dissappoint!

I laughed.

like, not just chuckled, but actually laughed out loud a few times, and i'm usually a pretty hard audience when it comes to humour, so that's a big +1 from me!

a lot better and more detailed than i ever expected tbh, i'm glad i stumbled on this.

definitely keeping an eye out for the full version.

My apologies for the delayed response, but I'm glad it surpassed expectations! I spend a lot of time sometimes working on some jokes but only some of the time (I have phoned in some scenery dialogue recently...). That said, thanks sincerely for playing and leaving such a thoughtful comment and I hope I can continue to surprise your expectations in a good way!

im gonna crash out at the tracy skectshit  fight

nvm i did it

I've played the demo almost a year ago, and I really fell in love with that project! Everything about this game seems so promising and passionate (Not to mention the hidden stuff you've added if the player tries to cheat in many occasions, those really caught me off-guard haha, well done!), I'm really looking forward to playing the full version when it comes out!

As someone who's also developing a big rpgm project for years, I'm well-aware of how much time-consuming it may get; So, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you the best!

Thank you so much for this thoughtful post! It's nice to just hear confirmations of the little Easter eggs (I never quite know how many people are going to check on the dev stuff, haha). But it's nice to hear someone empathize with how these projects can just expand (I originally wanted to finish the whole game in a year and that did not happen but I'm in too deep now!). Thanks for sincerely coming back to comment and best of luck with your own project as well!

How does one go about cheating in this game?

I've searched for the usual debug mode, but came up dry.

i cant download it :(
