Howdy there partner, what are you dressing as for Halloween this year? Because if it's anything other than a pony, you'd better hold your horses! A Horsey Halloween is a (a mane and) tale about a young mailwoman who has to deliver a bunch of potions! But her plans run a foal when she gets turned into a horse! What will she do know? You'd better giddy up and trick-or-treat for the seven magical pumpkins that will help cure that equine curse or else it'll be a long night on the old dusty trail!

Horsey Halloween is a Parody Hack of Dweller's Empty Path by Temmie Chang, but it's okay if you haven't played that! This game was written for people who are completely unfamiliar! That being said, I do not own the characters. If you would like a donation, please make one to Temmie Chang on her page!

Install instructions
Unzip the game and put all the files in one folder. The game is "Game.exe." If you try to run the game and windows blocks you saying "Windows Protected your PC," right click "Game.exe," select "Properties," and check the box that says "Unblock"

Hey! So I was able to play this all the way through with my friend and we laughed our asses off, so thank you! We actually hadn't heard of Dweller's Empty Path so thanks for the introduction of sorts, that's now on our to play list! A quick question though: are all the songs here from DEP, or are some original? Is there somewhere we could buy or download them?

Hey! Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm so glad to hear you all enjoyed it so much, haha! Some of the songs are from Dweller's Empty Path and some of them are not. I've uploaded a ZIP file of all the songs that are not from Dweller's Empty Path. If you want to support the Dweller's Empty Path sound people, you can do it by buying the soundtrack either here or here, which are the official links posted for the project.
Anyway, thanks so much for the support again! It's always nice to hear how much people enjoy these silly games!
Has anyone else had an issue with the game not loading what happens after the main character goes to bed in the first scene?
Thanks for posting! Did this happen on the browser version? I was unaware of this issue and will probe it. If you still want to play, there's a version you can "Download" (Horsey Halloween (Version 1.1).zip226 MB Oct 31, 2021) for the PC that should work much better if you have a PC.
i have the itch.io application installed to my PC and was playing through here! but thanks for looking into it, my friend and i were really enjoying it! and sorry for the late reply as well lol
